This regimental tie slopes downwards, the opposite of the commonly seen European regimental tie slopes upwards. It has the same details as the 1960s, with a single layer and no lining. This is due in part to the era when emphasis was placed on mass production, but it was also to allow for the creation of beautiful small knots that matched the plain knot. It features the unique sheen of a silk tie.
